Care instructions for jeans
At Nanso, we want to encourage you to take good care of your favorite clothes. Made from high-quality materials, our jeans are designed to last from season to season. We put together jeans care instructions that, if followed, will make your jeans happy for a long time.
Washing – or would just ventilation be enough?
You don't need to wash your jeans very often, usually just airing them freshens them. Jeans can also be freshened by steaming them with a clothes steamer .
Individual loose stains are easy to brush with Stockholm Steamery's clothes brush . If brushing is not enough, you can also try gentle stain removal with a damp cloth or a small amount of laundry detergent. However, you should avoid hard rubbing so that the surface of the fabric is not damaged.
However, if you intend to wash the jeans in the washing machine, check the care instructions attached to the product before washing. Jeans should always be washed inside out, pockets emptied and zippers and buttons closed, to avoid damage during washing. As a detergent, it is recommended to use a liquid detergent that does not contain bleaching agents or brighteners. When properly dosed, the detergent washes off the fabric well and does not leave detergent traces.
The color may come off from the dark fabric, especially during the first washes, so wash the jeans in lukewarm water with clothes of the same color.
After washing
Remove the jeans from the washing machine immediately after the wash program and straighten them to avoid extra wrinkles. Hang the jeans on a hanger or clothesline to air dry.
Denim fabric does not require ironing, but steaming with Stockholm Steamery's Cirrus X clothes steamer speeds up the softening of denim fabric after washing.
Although jeans have a long service life, it is characteristic of them that their color and fabric soften with time, use and washing. The patina brought by time belongs to denim.
