Sustainability as a starting point for design
All our timeless and durable products are designed in Finland. We have our own three-person design team in Sörnäis, Helsinki, and we also employ several Finnish freelance print designers. The durability, longevity, serviceability and recyclability of the products are taken into account in the design of our collections.

For more than a hundred years, we have used high-quality materials and designed long-lasting favorite clothes from them. Through material choices, we can influence the early emissions and durability of the product throughout its life cycle. We choose more responsible and certified materials whenever possible.

At Nanso, we are completely transparent about the origin of our products and openly share the country of manufacture of our products. We only work with a few, carefully selected suppliers who meet Nanso Group's responsibility criteria. Nanso's tricot and fabric products are mainly manufactured in Portugal and Turkey. The sweaters and jackets come mainly from China.

Nanso's acts of responsibility
For us, responsibility means concrete actions in addition to the value base. We have recently promoted responsibility through, among other things, the following actions.
We repair our valuable products
At Nanso, we look at the entire product life cycle. Because we see every piece of clothing we produce as valuable, we offer a warranty repair service for our products through Menddie. In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act, the warranty repair applies to products that have been in use for less than 12 months.

Our Uusi Elämä collection consists of new and used clothes in good condition, which have been returned to us due to, for example, a small mistake. Returned products are delivered to our partner Menddie, who repairs all products in Finland, for repair. After restoration, the products are sold in selected Nanso stores, where they get a new life.

Together with our partner Emmy, we offer our customers an effortless way to circulate used treasures. Selling branded clothes through Emmy is easy: after filling out an electronic sales order (link), Nanso customers can bring their clothes that are going into circulation to a Nanso store, where they are delivered to Emmy for sale.
