Nanso protects the Baltic Sea
This year too, Nanso will donate the profits from the sale of shopping bags in Nanso stores to protect the Baltic Sea.
Nanso protects the Baltic Sea and its cultural heritage by making a donation to the John Nurminen Foundation in honor of Finland's Baltic Sea Day.
The sum collected from the sale of shopping bags during the last year will be donated in its entirety to the John Nurminen Foundation, whose goal is to save the Baltic Sea and its heritage for future generations.
The amount to be donated for 2024 is around 10,000 euros. Since 2019, we have already donated more than 46,000 euros to the foundation.
Founded in 1921, Nanso is one of Finland's best-known fashion brands and has a strong presence in Finns' everyday lives. Responsibility has been part of Nanso's values and practical operations for more than 100 years, and the company approaches responsibility holistically. In Nanso's clothing collection, the distinctive patterns and monochromatic, timeless classics are inspired by the relaxed and uncomplicated Finnish lifestyle.
The John Nurminen Foundation implements effective and concrete Baltic Sea conservation measures and ensures that the stories of the sea are passed on to future generations. The foundation's members are united by their love for the sea, as well as a strong belief that nothing is impossible. The work is guided by measurable results and effectiveness and the benefit of the Baltic Sea.
