Nanso supports the activities of the Women's Helpline

At Nanso, people are our strength. This Women's Day, we stand with women, against violence. We have made a financial donation to support women and girls experiencing violence through the Women's Helpline.

Violence against women is a serious national human rights problem: more than every second woman in Finland (57%) has experienced physical violence, sexual violence or threats.

For those experiencing violence, getting help as early as possible is vital. Donations raised on Women's Day will be directed to maintaining and expanding the Women's Helpline's emergency services, as the need for help is enormous. Women's Helpline's support services have been overwhelmed for a long time, and the number of contacts is increasing.

Thanks to companies participating in the Women's Day campaign, more and more women are getting the help and support they need. Donations ensure that no one who is hurting is left alone.

Do you or someone close to you need help? Naisten Linja helps women and girls experiencing violence and their loved ones. Naisten Linja's helpline number 0800 02400 is open weekdays from 4 pm to 8 pm. Chat support is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4 pm to 8 pm. Naisten Linja also offers individual support by appointment and peer support groups face-to-face in Helsinki and nationwide online. Find help here.
