Woolen knitwear
It is recommended to air the woolen sweater in the fresh air after each use in order to minimize washing times. If you decide to wash a woolen sweater, always follow the care instructions for the sweater. Knitwear that requires hand washing should be washed in lukewarm, hand-warm water with gentle squeezing. Use a detergent intended for wool and make sure the detergent is well dissolved before placing the sweater in the water. During washing, you should avoid abrasive movements, so that the wool does not feel. The washed sweater is rinsed several times in cold water, carefully cut to size and dried horizontally.
A characteristic feature of wool is pilling caused by friction. You can prevent pilling by regularly brushing the wool in the direction of the knitting. With the Stockholm Steamery clothes brush found in our selection, you can also gently clean dust, hair and other dirt at the same time.
If the wool becomes pilled, the lint and piles can be easily removed with the Stockholm Steamery lint remover. When ironing wrinkles, you should prefer a clothes steamer instead of an iron, because the heat and pressure of the iron can destroy the natural structure of the fibers.
Mohair knits
The fluffiness and fluffiness typical of mohair can be restored by lightly brushing with a brush intended for mohair. When brushing, the sweater is placed on a flat surface and the brushing movements are done gently along, with parallel strokes. Mohair knits must not be ironed with an iron. It is recommended to give the sweater rest days between uses.
Cotton knitwear
You can wash most of our cotton knitwear at 30 degrees with a gentle spin cycle. Turn the sweater inside out to wash and wash with matching colors. After washing, knit to size and dry horizontally to avoid stretching and wrinkling.
