Pattern stories: Mimosa
The beautiful Mimosa pattern of the spring collection was designed by Oona Mäkelä. The Mimosa pattern knits on display have Nanso's characteristic strong and clear graphics.
"I really like the contrast created by the ink on the paper. It is one of my favorite materials also because of its smell. I guess I associate it with positive memories. It is easy to make strong graphic patterns with the ink. Mimosa consists of simple brushstrokes."
Prints have been part of Nanso's story since the turn of the 1960s and 1970s. Pattern design is a Finnish strength and distinguishing factor, as well as a recognizable feature of Nanso's clothes for many.
"In my opinion, simple shapes are the most interesting, but also challenging! Mimosa is my favorite from the current collection, especially in the knitted version."
